  1. Recently, a new type of waterproof sound-absorbing panel tailored for humid environments, developed by KSL Technology Co., Ltd., has been officially launched on the market. It successfully addresses the industry pain points of traditional sound-absorbing materials, such as being prone to moisture, mold, and acoustic performance degradation in high-humidity areas like bathrooms and kitchens. The birth of this product not only breaks the application limitation of sound-absorbing materials being "exclusive to dry spaces" but also makes full-space acoustic optimization a new possibility for high-quality life, providing a brand-new solution for the acoustic upgrading of residential and commercial scenarios.

The KSL R&D team explained that the core breakthrough of this waterproof sound-absorbing panel lies in overcoming the industry challenge that traditional materials "cannot achieve both waterproofing and sound absorption", realizing a balance between the two performances. The key lies in the integrated innovation of advanced composite materials and precision manufacturing processes. The surface layer adopts an integrated composite process of high-density nano waterproof coating and 0.01mm ultra-thin ePTFE acoustic breathable membrane. Its 0.1-1.0μm microporous structure can achieve IPX8-level waterproofing, while controlling the acoustic insertion loss within 0.5dB to ensure sound absorption effect. Internally, high-quality moisture-proof modified polyester fiber is selected as the core sound-absorbing base material. After cross-linking modification and anti-mildew and antibacterial treatment, it can achieve level 0 mildew resistance (no visible mildew growth) in high-humidity environments with relative humidity above 90%. Meanwhile, the three-dimensional network sound-absorbing structure of the modified polyester fiber is completely retained, ensuring its efficient absorption capacity for noise of different frequency bands. Coupled with the material's own anti-aging and anti-deformation properties, the service life of the product is increased by more than 60% compared with traditional products, greatly reducing the user's later replacement cost.

  3. Rigorous performance test data further confirms the reliability of the product. In the test simulating the long-term high-humidity environment of bathrooms, the panel was left standing continuously for 30 days without any moisture or deformation. The sound absorption coefficient remained stable above 0.8, and the absorption effect on high-frequency interference such as water flow noise and range hood operation noise was particularly significant. At the same time, the product has passed E0-level environmental certification, does not contain asbestos or radioactive pollutants, and its VOC emission fully complies with national standards. It can be put into use without long-term ventilation after installation, balancing safety and practicality.

"The application scenarios of traditional sound-absorbing materials have long been limited to dry spaces such as living rooms and home theaters, while the noise problems in areas like bathrooms and kitchens have not been effectively solved," said the person in charge of KSL R&D. The launch of the new waterproof sound-absorbing panel is precisely aimed at filling this market gap. This product can be widely applied to residential scenarios such as home bathrooms, open kitchens, and basements, and can also meet the acoustic needs of commercial humid spaces such as hotel bathrooms, restaurant kitchens, and swimming pools. More notably, the panel supports personalized color and size customization, and its surface can present various decorative effects such as texture and embossing. While reducing noise, it can better integrate into different decoration styles, realizing the seamless connection between acoustic functions and aesthetic design.

  5. Industry experts analyzed that with the continuous upgrading of consumers' pursuit of living quality, acoustic environment optimization has changed from an "optional configuration" to a "necessary demand", while the acoustic solution for humid scenarios was previously in a state of market gap.
